Students at a Danish folk high school must be at least 17 years of age. This minimum age limit is, however, the only restriction for acceptance at Brenderup Folk High School. By law, any Danish folk high school must open for everyone. Danish law also states that at least 51 % of a folk high school's students must be Danish citizens. You are in other words guaranteed that the majority of your co-students are Danes and as such authorities on Danish culture and society.
