International Class is in many ways the backbone of what we call The Intercultural exchange here at Brenderup Folk
High School.
Here, students from many different parts of the world gather to learn about global citizenship. We deal with a wealth of topics
such as Democracy vs. Hegemony, Globalization vs. Nationalism, Terrorism, Migration, Sustainability, Otherness, Story Telling and Self
Narration, The UN, The EU, etc.
The tone and attitude are international. Classes and discussions are conducted in English, and the fact that the
students are of different nationality, is indeed part of the learning experience. We gain practical experience with and from each other. We make bonds that
transcend borders and nationalities.
NB: Many of our classes are conducted in cooperation with the Travel Class, in which the students are generally danes.
